Welcome to TASG – I'm Chester Lewis.
My journey in sports began early, when my father mounted a basketball hoop above our garage door. That simple act sparked a lifelong passion and marked the beginning of a path that would shape my identity both on and off the court.
I developed as a player with Vasas SC, one of Hungary’s top basketball academies, where I won multiple U12, U14, U16 and U18 national championships. These successes led to the honor of representing Hungary at the FIBA U16 and U18 European Championships, competing against the best talents from across the continent.
Driven by the dream of taking my game to the highest level, I earned a basketball scholarship to Whittier College in California, where I played collegiate basketball in the NCAA Division III system. My time in the U.S. not only advanced my athletic career but also deepened my understanding of the academic and cultural challenges that international athletes face.
Following college, I returned to Hungary to compete professionally. I played in the Hungarian top division (NB I/A and NB I/B) with clubs such as KTE-Duna Aszfalt (Kecskemét), Jászberényi KSE, and MAFC Budapest. These experiences gave me a well-rounded perspective on the demands of high-level basketball and the realities of building a professional career in sports.
Today, as the founder of Top Athlete Sports Group, my mission is to empower the next generation of athletes to pursue both their academic and athletic dreams — particularly those looking to earn sports scholarships and study in the United States. I’ve lived through every step of that process, and now I’m here to guide others with the knowledge, experience, and care I wish I had when I began.
